Who Should attend?

Any employee who is involved in or affected by working at height and who requires to use a safety harness.

Course Content & Aims

Work at Height:

To provide information for anyone involved in, or affected by working at height.

The course aim is to enable an individual to effectively comply with duties under the Work at Height regulations.

Safety Harness Awareness:

The course aim is to instruct a user to safely select, inspect and use a harness.

Content:

  • Legislation
  • Hazards and risk assessment
  • Harness and lanyard types and uses
  • Inspection and record keeping
  • Fall protection hierarchy
  • Impact forces
  • Suspension trauma
  • Fitting

Assessment & Qualification

Continual assessment of knowledge and understanding through the courses.  Delegates who complete the training will receive a certificate of attendance and a PASMA card for the Working at Height training.

Additional Information

Delegates must bring PPE with them to the training course ie safety footwear, safety hat and hi-vis vest/jacket.
